Frequently asked questions
Everything buyers, sellers, tenants and landlords ask us most.
General
Is it free to search and contact agents on Property Vista?
Yes. Browsing listings, saving favourites and sending enquiries to agents is completely free for buyers and tenants. We only charge property owners and developers for premium listing placement.
How do you verify listings?
Before a listing goes live our team checks the ownership documents, the approved plan, the current handover status and the photographs against the actual unit. Verified listings carry a badge on the card and the detail page.
Buying
What extra costs should I budget for when buying?
Beyond the sale price, budget for registration and stamp duty, VAT where applicable, utility connection transfer, the building's service charge deposit and any agent commission agreed in writing.
Can foreign nationals buy property in Bangladesh?
Non-resident Bangladeshis can buy freely. Foreign nationals generally need approval and are usually advised to purchase through a locally incorporated company. Speak to our team for current guidance.
Renting
How much advance is normal for a rental in Dhaka?
Two to three months' rent as advance is common in Dhaka, though it varies by area and building. The advance, service charge and utility responsibilities should all be written into the tenancy agreement.
Loan
How much can I borrow against a property?
Partner banks typically finance up to 80% of the assessed value, with tenures up to 25 years. Your eligibility depends on income, existing obligations and credit history.
How quickly can a loan be approved?
With complete documents, our banking partners usually issue an in-principle approval within 24–48 hours. Full disbursement follows the property valuation and legal check.
Selling
How long does it take to sell a property?
A correctly priced apartment in a prime Dhaka area typically finds a buyer within 30–60 days. Overpricing is the single biggest cause of a listing sitting unsold.
What documents do I need to list my property?
The title deed, approved plan, up-to-date utility bills, the building's service charge statement and your national ID. We will guide you through anything that is missing.
